Position: Project Officer
Our Sansar are looking for 2 Project Officers to join our End to Child Labour Programme team in Rautahat as our project is expanding.
Role Description:
We are looking for the Project Officers to join as soon as possible in Rautahat. One Project Officer will mainly deal with overseeing education and activities for the children and the other will oversee training and income generation activities for the parents. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds who have transferable skills – this could be education, training, agriculture, social enterprise, community outreach.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all children attend our classes and regular school
- Organise monthly parents meetings
- Ensure all the children receive all the support as per need and work plan
- Ensure all the teachers deliver the classes in a timely manner and as per curriculum
- Assist with community training sessions
- Ensure all families receive literacy and vocation training and are then set up with income generation activities
- Monitor the income generation activities
- Perform skill assessment of the parents to ensure that the training aligns with their interests, market needs and abilities
- Prepare monthly progress reports
- Prepare monthly cashbooks and budgets
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently
- Experience in education, training, social enterprise or other relevant sectors
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Experience working with children/communities from different backgrounds will be a big advantage
- Solid working knowledge of written and spoken English
- Good IT skills – Excel, Word, Google Drive
- Passion for charity work
- Flexibility
Starting salary 25,000Rs (to be reviewed after the probation period), accommodation, health insurance provided. There will be opportunities to grow within the organisation for the right candidates.
