Plant Manager

Openings: One (1)

Job Station: Middle Tamor, Taplejung

Academic Qualification and Other Requirements:

  • Master degree in Electrical Engineering,
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in plant management, preferably in hydropower or a similar heavy industry.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven experience in operational planning, process optimization, and resource management.
  • Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to the industry.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead and manage the overall operations of the plant, ensuring optimal efficiency, safety, and productivity.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to meet the company’s production goals.
  • Monitor and improve plant performance, including maintenance of equipment, processes, and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage plant budgets, resources, and personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of staff.
  • Liaise with engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to optimize plant operations.
  • Oversee the maintenance of plant machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance to management

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in managing a high-capacity plant or facility.
  • Familiarity with modern maintenance management systems (CMMS) and equipment maintenance best practices.
  • Proficient in financial management, including budget preparation and cost control.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in environmental and safety standards.
