Forum for Women, Law and Development (FWLD) is an autonomous, non-profit, non-governmental organization established on May 29, 1995 for the protection, promotion and enjoyment of women’s rights, children’s rights, minorities’ rights and the rights of marginalized groups. FWLD envisions a world where human rights are fully realized where social injustice and discrimination are eradicated, and where equality prevails. To achieve it, FWLD has been constantly working to change the discriminatory laws and the discrimination embedded in society and culture.
Job Purpose
The Program Coordinator is primarily responsible for overall: Management of Project Planning, implementation, Operation, Monitoring & Evaluation and Documentation; and for ensuring that the organization’s programs and activities are aligned with the goals and missions of the organization.
Ensure effective implementation of project plans, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Coordinate project activities, resources, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Prepare and submit monthly reports, mid-yearly reports and annual reports to donor agency pursuant to the terms of the PPA.
Communicate with team members to ensure maximum efficiency
Establish communication, linkage and networking with different stakeholders, partners and local government
Report to donor agency when necessary regarding the organization of activities and when required by the terms in the PPA.
Monitor project budget and track expenditures/transactions
Assist the Management Committee and the Admin/Finance Team of FWLD in the procurement process related to the Project.
Ensure smooth operation of the activities related to the Project.
Qualifications and Competencies:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Previous working experience in programs for at least 3-5 years
- In-depth knowledge of program management and development procedures
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in managing data-related projects is preferred.
- Hands-on knowledge of data and visualization tools.
- Experience working with non-profit organizations or in the development sector is a plus.
- Proficiency in English and Nepali languages.
Work Conditions:
- Extended working hours, Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
- Travel be required for the purpose of meeting with right holders and stakeholders.
