Dhulikhel Hospital – Kathmandu University Hospital invites qualified candidates to serve as the project coordinator for AMPATH Nepal, which is an academic partnership program with the Amhold Institute of Global Health at the School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, USA. The project coordinator will work closely with our US-based partner for in-country program coordination, Implementation and operational support

Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in management, business, or related field
  • Three years experience one project management and proposal writing after master’s degree

Required Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, with fluency in Nepali and English
  • High degree of independent action and adherence to strict timelines
  • Strong organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
  • Ability to operate independently and make independent judgments and to act on decisions on a daily basic
  • Leadership skills with ability to negotiate and work collaboratively
  • Ability to represent the work and organization with professional maturity and engage with senior stakeholders. Previous experience working with governmental and elected officials is preferred
  • Flexibility to attend virtual meetings outside regular office hours at least once per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assembling project plans, team and work assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts daily, identifying resource needs, and escalating functional, quality and timeline issues appropriately
  • Execute assigned project and work plans to ensure goals are delivered on time and within the budget
  • Work with manager, stakeholders and peers to achieve milestones
  • May perform needs assessments and analyses regarding health systems community and participants needs for the basis of program development
  • Serve a critical role as liaison, facilitate meetings between project stakeholders, consultants, faculty, staff and leadership, complete and maintain documentation for projects and deliverables
  • Manage strong relationships and communicate regularly with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Support dissemination efforts, including manuscript preparation, presentations, and stakeholder engagement, Collaborate with the Communications manager on public outreach,
  • presentational and collateral development, and reports related to the work stream
