Sabal Nepal, a non-profit social development organization, is implementing the Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DIDRR) Project, supported by CBM Global. The project aims to enhance disaster preparedness and build resilience among persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in two municipalities of Saptari, Madhesh Province. We invite applications from interested and qualified Nepali citizens aged 18 to 40 for the following positions. These roles are based in the Saptari district and will be located in rural municipalities or municipalities as required by the project.
Project Coordinator -01
Qualification and experiences: A bachelor’s degree in Disaster Risk Management, Development Studies, Social Work, or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. At least 5 years of experience of managing Disaster Risk Reduction project coordination, preferably in disaster risk reduction (DRR), disability inclusion, or community-based development projects. Experience of working with multiple project partners simultaneously such as government, development partners, DRM related stakeholders and OPDs. Experience in project financial management, project reporting, documentation and dissemination. Fluency in Computer Use (Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet), Good Communication Skills in English and Nepali (oral and written), Maithali preferable.
Assignment: 30% office-based work, including coordination and reporting, and 70% fieldwork, including supervision and backstopping (subject to modification as per program requirements).

DRR & MEAL Officer -01
Qualification and experiences: A Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Management, Environmental Studies, Social Work, or related fields. Experience: 3-5 years in DRR, community-based disaster management, or related fields with a focus on inclusivity. Experience with monitoring, evaluation, and reporting in DRR or community development projects is preferred. Experience of working with multiple project partners simultaneously such as government, development partners, DRM related stakeholders and OPDs. Experience in project reporting, documentation and dissemination. Strong project management skills with experience in MEAL processes and community mobilization. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of inclusive DRR policies and accessibility standards, particularly in working with marginalized groups and OPDs.

Position : Social Mobiliser– Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DIDRR) -06
Qualification and experiences: Intermediate degree or diploma in Social Work, Development Studies, or related fields. 1-2 years of experience in community mobilization, social work, or grassroots-level engagement. Prior experience in DRM-related activities or working with vulnerable populations is an asset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an understanding of community dynamics and inclusivity.
