Background
Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of child poverty and to create a more equal world for girls facing girls and vulnerable children. Plan International has 85 years’ experience doing this in more than 70 countries. Plan International has been working in Nepal since 1978.

We invite applications from interested candidates with priority from females, minority and youth groups for the following positions:

1. Project Coordinator

(Fixed-term until December 2024 based in Jumla: Open for female applicants only)

Responsibility: Provide technical support to implementing partner organization for the -Girls Get Equals-Preventing Child, Early and Forced Marriage (GGE-PCEFM) Project” with base in partner office- Jumla visiting Kalikot and Bardiya as per need of project; Ensure effective implementation of overall project however, major focus will be given in Micro Enterprise Development and job placement of vocational training graduate in coordination and collaboration with private sectors, government line agencies and other likeminded organization; Work strategically to increase the engagement of training graduates, re-enroll dropped out youths after the training, increase earning of micro-entrepreneurs who has started business with the support of project and linkage youths to cooperatives for establishment and expansion of their business.


2. Youth Coordinator

(Fixed-Term Employment until August 2025 based in Country Office; Open to all applicants)

Responsibility: Provide technical support for the implementation of youth focused program/projects and other projects relating to youth engagement and mobilization; Support Senior Technical Advisor in designing project proposals related to youth participation and engagement; Support in capacity building of partners staffs in understanding Plan’s youth centric approach and accordingly provide technical support in implementing related projects.


3. Partnership Specialist

(Short-Term Employment until February 2024 based in Country Office; Open to all applicants)

Responsibility: Aims to improve partnership skills, develop partnership with right partners, build the capacity of all existing partners of Plan International Nepal to effectively reach our strategic ambitions for girls and young women and ensure that the partners are adequately resourced to do their designated work.
