Plan International has 85 years’ experience doing this in more than 70 countries Plan International has been working in Nepal since 1978.
Plan International also seeks the following positrons for an anticipated Department of State program in Nepal. These positions are contingent upon donor funding and approval.
1. Project Director (Based in Country Office; Open to all applicants)
Responsibility: Ensure smooth, timely and quality implementation of the project that aims to increase the resiliency of local communities to child labor and/or forced labor in the context of a changing climate in Nepal. S/he will have a demonstrated experience on the impact of climate change, child protection systems and ways to add ress chil d and/or forced labor, with preferably a working knowledge on the impact of climate change on children. S/he will maintain appropriate project delivery systems, ensures contractual requirements are met and maintain positive relationship with relevant stakeholders including all three tiers of government (federal, provincial and local) along with relevant line ministries and institutions and both private and public institutions. S/he will embed a Human-Centered Design approach into programming and follow a collaborative and adaptive approach to project delivery.
2. Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) Officer (Based in Country Office; Open to all applicants)
Responsibility: Support and lead to ensure an effective MERL system is in place for the project including development and implementation of MERL systems of assigned project, regular collection of monitoring data and its analysis for management information purposes; Provide inputs to Project Director and MERL team in project design to ensure effective application of program learning, as well as to support in all baselines, mid-term and endlines evaluations and research with technical support from the Research, Evaluation and Knowledge Management Specialist; Develop capacity of field and partner organisation staff in all MERL related tasks, systems and processes.
