Overview:

The Program Manager will lead the successful implementation of innovative digital solutions to improve immunization coverage and efficiency. She/he/they will lead a team of experts to design, develop, and deploy digital tools that streamline immunization processes, enhance data management, and strengthen the overall immunization program.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive program strategy aligned with national immunization goals and global best practices.
  • Oversee the design and development of digital tools, such as mobile applications, data dashboards, and SMS reminders.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of technical experts, data analysts, and field workers.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, healthcare providers, and community leaders.
  • Facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing among stakeholders.

Data Management and Analysis:

  • Oversee the collection, cleaning, and analysis of immunization data.
  • Utilize data insights to inform program decisions and improve performance.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Establish robust monitoring and evaluation systems to track program progress and impact.
  • Conduct regular evaluations to identify areas for improvement and adjust the program accordingly.

Capacity Building:

  • Train healthcare workers and community health volunteers on the use of digital tools and data management practices.
  • Build the capacity of local health systems to sustain digital immunization initiatives.

Financial Management:

  •  Manage the project budget and ensure efficient utilization of funds. • Prepare regular financial reports and track expenditure.

Qualifications:

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in working on different projects related to immunization, health information systems, and digital health. Mandatory experience of working in Nepal.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in managing complex health programs, preferably in the field of immunization.
  • Prior experience of working with various stakeholders including national governments, international organizations, and development partners.
  • Demonstrated training in epidemiology, implementation science, policy advocacy and proven track record in working for Health Systems Strengthening projects.
  • Education: Master’s degree in Preventive and Social Medicine, Public Health or a related field.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Fluency in English and Nepali is a must.
  • Understanding and demonstrated experience of dissemination using different approaches: Policy briefs, stakeholder workshops, scientific articles, and reports.

Location: Kathmandu, Nepal

Must have legal authorization to work in Nepal.
