We invite applications from interested candidates for the following positions:
Project Manager – Telethon – Child Not Bride Project
(Open to all applicants, Fixed term employment until Dec 2015) based in Regional Office East – Janakpur with frequent travel to Bardiya
Responsibility: The Project Manager will provide strategic and managerial leadership for the telethon funded “Child Not Bride Project”, an integrated component of Care and Protection, Learn and Earn, Lead and Decide. Ensure effective project implementation, provide technical and managerial support, and act as liaison between partner organization and Plan International Nepal on a regular basis. Ensure proper Project Implementation Guideline, M&E plan, data base and Quality Benchmarks are in place, understood and being used. Ensures programmatic and financial accountability including tracking of program progress and budget expense in the use of funds and achievement of all related projects.
Media & Communication Specialist
(Open to all applicants, Fixed term employment until 2 years from date of employment) based in Country Office
Responsibility: Deliver high impact communications that reflect the organisation’s approaches, principles and values as a leading child’s rights agency, inspiring confidence across a range of internal and external audiences. Develop and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Creates plan and implements it, meeting deadline and driving for impact and results Holds self-accountable for making decisions and responds positively to critical feedback; Plan and coordinate press conferences, media briefings, and other events to promote organizational initiatives. Requires knowledge and trends in digital and social media marketing. Familiarity with digital communication platforms, social media channels, and tools for creating and scheduling content.
Technical Advisor – Protection – Re-advertisement
(Open to all applicants, Fixed term employment until 2 years from date of employment) based in Regional Office West – Surkhet
Responsibility: To ensure high quality delivery of program and influencing through field offices and partners. The Technical Advisor (TA) – Protection will guide and provide technical expertise in developing Plan International Nepal’s strategy on protection and safeguarding children and young people through programming and policy implementation. Develop and ensure effective implementation and monitoring of protection related projects. Provide technical expertise in developing Plan International Nepal’s strategy in Protection.
