We are seeking a passionate and skilled Project Officer to lead the Forecast-Based Emergency Response (FOREBER) Phase III Project in Nepal.
Posiiton: Project Officer
Location: Lamjung (covering Lamjung & Manang)
Contract Duration: 1 Sept 2026 – 31 Aug 2027
Level: Mid-level Management
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and implement Anticipatory Action, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) activities.
- Strengthen community-based disaster risk reduction (CBDRR), early warning systems, and emergency response mechanisms.
- Collaborate with local governments, DHM, NDRRMA, provincial and district stakeholders, and community institutions.
- Promote forecast-based financing and ensure quality implementation aligned with donor requirements, government policies, and HDCS standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in DRR, Climate Change, Environmental Science, Engineering, Development Studies, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in AA, DRR, CCA, humanitarian, or resilience programming.
