Partnership Aid Centre (PACE Nepal) non-profit making Non-Government Organization (NGO) registered in Jumla has been established 2006. Working in Karnali province in 19 years, which works in 4 district (Jumla, Kalikot, Mugu & Dailekh) in the area of Community mobilization, influencing lobby/advocacy livelihood, poverty alleviation, advocacy, human right, social development, micro enterprise, infrastructure climate change adaptation, natural resource management, disaster risk reduction, good governance, health promotion and education
PACE-Nepal is going to implement the “Girls Standing Strong (GSS) project in partnership with Plan International Nepal. The project will be implemented in the Hima and Sinja Rural Municipality of Jumla District. The program targeting children, adolescent girls, youth girls, and young women enjoys their rights to live free from early and forced marriage. Accordingly, PACE-Nepal invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following positions immediately.
Position: Project Officer -1
Duty Station: Sinja Rural Municipality (Field office Narakot) Jumla, District
Report to: Project coordinator
Major Responsibility
- Project Officer is responsible for the implementation of the project activities, planning, programmatic progress and support project team to review the achievement from a quality perspective by in depth analysis of existing qualitative reports.
- Planning and implementation of project activities without compromising its quality as per agreed with funding agency.
- Ensure high degree of technical expertise while the implementing project relevant to technical specifications/standards
- Manage girl standing strong as a leader with day to day operations
- Work closely with local government representatives and other stakeholders for effective implementation of the Project
- Organize and conduct orientation, trainings at Rural/Municipality level on early childhood Development
- Work closely, coach and support project facilitators to achieve program quality at target community
- Monitor the progress of field supervisors/volunteer through frequent field visits, report performance on monthly basis
- Advocate for promoting girl, youth, woman, children’s agenda in annual and strategic planning of Rural Municipalities in line within influencing/ advocacy objectives
- Attend meetings, workshop, trainings, exposure visits and interaction program organized by funding agency, PACE-Nepal and other organization (relevant stakeholder) as well
- Liaise with different teams within Plan and outside Plan for the implementation of integrated programmes (e.g. Education, ECD, Protection, Youth empowerment, SRHR, WASH, Nutrition & DRR etc.)
- Ensure lessons learnt, challenges and case studies are documented in the project
Qualification and Experience
- At least Bachelor’s degree in social science, education, public health (BPH) or development studies from recognized university with 3 years of experience working in NGOs sector
- Strong knowledge of child and women’s rights, SBCC, GESI and gender justice, advanced understanding of the development and cash voucher assistance (CVA) and SBCC, WASH, nutrition and GESI mainstreaming into development programming.
- He/she should have knowledge of project monitoring, data collection, and analysis, and report writing
- Experience of working with coalitions and networks
- Excellent project report writing, data management, writing case/success story, documentation and presentation.
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel and Power-point
- Experience of working closely with government health sector and priority programs.
- Possessed effective skills to facilitate trainings, seminars and various orientation activities
- Good interpersonal skills and media mobilization skills.
- Experience of office management, staff management, basic finance management and procurement management

Position: Field supervisor -1
Duty Station: Hima rural municipality of Jumla district.
Major Responsibility
- Support for (GSS) project implementation at Hima Rural Municipality and ward level
- Work closely with local government representatives, Rural municipality health branch especially health posts and Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs)
Implementation field level activities SOYEE - Support and assist (as well as coach ) Volunteer & FCHVs in delivering parenting education sessions at the ward level ensuring active participation of community (especially caregivers of under three children)
- Conduct regular home visits to motivate caregivers after each parenting education session and collective dialogue sessions to adopt conducive behaviors
- Monitor the progress of changes in knowledge, attitude, and behavior of caregivers in the community
- Support ineffective & timely implementation of approved activities at the field level.
- Support for preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports providing the authentic field information/data/case studies.

Qualification and Experience
- Intermediate level or equivalent in education, social work, or related field, Enterprise development or equivalent degree from the recognized institution.
- At least three years of working experience in similar position specialization in employment, vocational or entrepreneurial development, preferably with youth and marginalized groups
- Coordinate with project managers, thematic leads, and field team to identify the SOYEE participant’s needs and requirements for the project.
- Proven skill and knowledge about promoting of economic empowerment of youth girls/women and strong conceptual, interpersonal communication, negotiation, facilitation and representation skills with working experiences employment, vocational, or entrepreneurial development, preferably with youth and marginalized groups.
- Knowledge of the labor market, vocational education system
- Proven knowledge, skills and experiences for facilitation in the formulation of policies and plans for SOYEE, building relationships and working in partnership with local government, civil society organizations and maintaining the congenial working relationship with all stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to represent the organization at the community level
- Experience in social mobilization, community organizing, rapport building within Nutrition and Health in development and/or emergency context
- Good interpersonal and networking skills
- Priority will be given to the local candidates from the respective wards of specified rural municipalities.
