Position: Purchase Officer

About

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Officer to join Aakash Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing quality ingredients, packaging, and other materials at the best possible rates while ensuring timely delivery and compliance with our company standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify reliable suppliers and vendors for various categories (raw materials, packaging, machinery, utilities, etc.).
• Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery as per operational requirements.
• Maintain inventory levels by coordinating with warehouse and outlet teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors.
• Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and quality standards.
• Evaluate vendor performance periodically.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and procurement guidelines.
• Handle invoices, delivery notes, and support the accounts team with payment processing.
• Conduct market surveys to identify price trends and availability.
• Ensure the best value for money by comparing quotations and sourcing efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and finance to align procurement activities with business objectives.

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the food and hospitality industry.
• Must own a bike and have a valid driving license (compulsory).
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, procurement software and ERP systems.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Salary offered ranges from NRP 20,000 to 25,000, along with additional benefits.
