Position Overview

This position will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities, materials, and processes meet the required quality standards, codes, and project specifications. This role involves developing and implementing QA/QC plans, preparing and reviewing inspection and test plans, and conducting on-site inspections to verify compliance. The engineer will oversee laboratory and field testing, monitor non-conformance issues, and maintain detailed documentation of all quality-related activities. In addition, the QA/QC Engineer will coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve quality concerns, ensure proper calibration of equipment, and provide timely QA/QC reports.

Roles and Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement the Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) plan in line with project specification and standards.
2. Prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) withhold points and acceptance criteria.
3. Inspect and verify construction materials received at site for compliance with approved specifications through laboratory and field testing.
4. Conduct inspections and check all quality related procedures to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
5. Coordinate, witness and verify design concrete strength, field density test, rock support test of underground structure and verify calibration of equipment.
6. Report, control and monitor all activities related to Quality Management System.
7. Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, site instructions, Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and corrective
8. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly QA/QC reports.
9. Ensure that all construction works comply with relevant codes, standards, and guidelines.
10. Coordinate with Project teams and contractors on quality related problem and attend QA/QC meetings.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors in Civil Engineering wiht Specialization in Civil Construction / Quality Management
• Minimum 8 Years of Experience

Required Skills

Skills/Job Specification:

1. Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and relevant codes, standards and guidelines.
2. Proficiency in material inspection, site quality monitoring and testing for construction works.
3. Ability to prepare and maintain documentation including QA/QC reports and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
4. Problem solving and analytical skills to identify non-conformances and implement corrective/preventive actions.
5. Effective communication and coordination to work with Project teams and contractors.
