Nepal Development Society (NeDS), in collaboration with La Isla Foundation, is implementing a four-year Intervention Development Research Project aimed at developing scalable interventions to reduce harm to migrants and their communities by identifying addressable risks and mitigating them through evidence-based interventions. We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic candidates for the following position:
Data Management Of
Location: Kathmandu Office
Duration: 1 year with the possibility of extension
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement qualitative research methodologies, including interviews, focus groups, and participant observation, tailored to the project’s specific objectives.
- Develop and advise on research tools such as interview guides, focus group protocols, and coding frameworks to ensure high-quality data collection.
- Train and build capacity among project staff and local researchers in qualitative data collection and analysis techniques.
- Oversee and ensure adherence to methodological rigor and ethical standards during the data collection process.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of qualitative data using software like Nvivo and develop thematic reports and insights aligned with the project’s goals.
- Assist in the preparation of comprehensive project reports, policy briefs, and academic publications by incorporating qualitative findings.
- Integrate qualitative research findings with quantitative data to provide a comprehensive understanding of the research outcomes.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, focus groups, and other research activities, ensuring logistical arrangements are in place.
- Manage research-related documentation, including consent forms and data storage, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
- Provide support in budgeting and financial tracking for research activities, including managing expenses for fieldwork and training sessions.
- Facilitate communication between project staff, stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring smooth and timely updates.
- Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and training sessions, including logistical coordination and material preparation.
- Provide administrative support such as drafting meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions for research activities.
- Participate in weekly and regular meetings, both online and in-person, and contribute to project events.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Master’s Degree in Public Health or a related field.
- At least five years of experience in the public health sector.
- Proficiency in qualitative data management and N-Vivo software.
- Fluency in both English and Nepali.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Local candidates will be given priority.
