Position Title: Recruitment & Compliance Officer

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Location: Remote (Nepal-based team supporting an Australian company)
Work Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM Nepali Time
Reports to: Operations Manager

Position Summary:

We are hiring a proactive and detail-oriented Recruitment Officer to support our Australian operations. This role involves handling end-to-end recruitment and maintaining full compliance of staff documentation. The successful candidate must have excellent written and spoken English, strong organisational skills, and a self-driven approach to improving recruitment and compliance systems.

Full induction and training will be provided to help you understand our services, systems, and your role responsibilities in detail. You will be supported step-by-step to succeed in your position.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment Responsibilities:

  • Draft and publish job advertisements across relevant online platforms.
  • Screen resumes and shortlist candidates as per role requirements.
  • Conduct video interviews professionally in fluent English.
  • Coordinate candidate selection, reference checks, and onboarding steps.
  • Maintain accurate records of all recruitment activities and outcomes.

HR Responsibilities:

  • Collect, verify, and manage staff compliance documentation (e.g. ID, certifications, police checks, etc.).
  • Monitor document expiry dates and proactively follow up for renewals.
  • Ensure organised, secure storage of all documents using OneDrive and SharePoint.
  • Communicate professionally with staff via phone and email to gather or clarify required documents.
  • Perform regular internal file audits to ensure up-to-date and complete records.

Process Improvement & Reporting:

  • Research recruitment and compliance best practices relevant to the industry and region.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to streamline existing processes.
  • Support the development and ongoing refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Prepare monthly reports on recruitment progress and compliance status.

Essential Requirements:

  • Fluent English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field.
  • Prior experience in recruitment and/or compliance roles.
  • Excellent phone and email communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time efficiently.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Australian employment and compliance practices.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems or HR management tools.
  • Understanding of remote work collaboration platforms.
