Report Writing Associate
ROLE PURPOSE / SUMMARY
This role plays a critical part in the stewardship of our existing donors, retaining their interest and support of UWS through the development of inspiring and informative donor reports and other stewardship communications when required. The postholder will work across the fundraising team ensuring that they are managing and monitoring stewardship reporting requirements and producing high quality, accurate and timely stewardship reports and engagement comms.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Create, develop and manage a pipeline of stewardship reports & content for UWS donors
- To write inspiring, accurate and informative reports tailored to specific donors from across the fundraising portfolio; all communications produced should be compelling and consistent with our brand
- To undertake background research, collaborate with In Country Teams, programme colleagues and collate data and evidence to inform effective stewardship communications
- Produce quality written material in easy-to-understand ways; convey ideas graphically and tailor documents to specific audiences
- Identify internal and external documents and information sources that can be used in donor reports
- To support the development of core stock answers, case studies and materials and manage the central storing and effective sharing of this information with the wider fundraising Team
- To be bold, proactive and creative in designing and developing new content
- To develop and sustain positive working relationships with a wide range of UWS stakeholders to enable them to effectively participate and contribute to the development of reports and stewardships comms.
- Engage with the MEAL teams to ensure that impact reports are accurate and up to date.
- To communicate and promote a positive and inclusive UWS brand ensuring that all written communications represent our programmes authentically
- To develop and manage a pipeline of donor reporting requirements
- When required develop standardised and branded proposal templates for Fundraising Team members
2. Be an engaged and active member of the wider UWS Team
- To work flexibly as may be required by the needs of the department and carry out any other reasonable duties as required
- Play an active role in the development of our messaging and content that can used across the Fundraising Team
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues in all countries

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES
ESSENTIAL
- A track record of writing compelling communications for different audiences
- Managing large volumes of information and creating concise and compelling copy
- Developing systems and processes to manage workflow
- Managing multiple pieces of work and prioritising effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse range of colleagues, donors and stakeholders
- Proficiency in IT packages, CRM, Canva and approaches to remote working
- Ability to think creatively and develop accurate and compelling content
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate information in an inspiring, clear and concise manner for different audiences.
- Excellent written English
- Financial acumen with the ability to understand budgets
DESIRABLE
- Knowledge of the global challenges and opportunities impacting the education of young people
- Working with others remotely.
- Experience of working for an international NGO
