Position: Research and Equity Investment Officer

Job Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Recommend Scheme Specific and Portfolio Specific Research Strategies.
  •  Provide Product Specific Research and Analytical Data and Studies.
  •  Preparation and publication of Newsletter.
  •  Analyze, prepare and present reports and other materials as required.
  •  Design new investment products, mutual fund schemes and financial instruments that can be implemented in the context of Nepalese Capital Market.
  •  Develop and maintain financial models, market monitoring systems and databases.
  •  Recording and analyzing financial statements Recording daily stock prices and related data of the market.
  •  Prepare portions or more of research reports, notes and briefs.
  •  Tracking other mutual funds regarding their portfolio holdings, trading and NAVs.
  •  Technical analysis of index, sectors and stocks for trading.
  •  Other necessary tasks as required.

Eligibility Criteria

  •  Master’s degree in Finance/Economics or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Chartered Accountant with at least 3 years of work experience in the related field.
  •  Should have minimum first division or CGPA 3.25 on a scale of 4 from recognized university.
  • Candidates who have completed or pursuing professional degree such as ACCA/ CFA will be preferred
  •  Candidates pursuing professional degree must have Bachelor’s degree along with the above-mentioned experience criteria.
  •  Age should not exceed 35 years as on February 26, 2026.

Expected Skills/Knowledge

  • Strong verbal/written communication skills.
  •  Possesses good analytical skills.
  • High level of proficiency MS applications.
  •  Analyze raw data, interpret, analyze and present them in meaningful form.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret problems and translate these into systems to simplify existing process and approaches being implemented.
  • Team player, self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook.
  • Ability to perform tasks independently with little or no supervision.
