Sanima Hydro and Engineering and Pvt. Ltd. a leading Hydropower Consultant Company is seeking applications from highly motivated, result oriented, team player and competent Nepali citizens for the following positions

Position: Assistant Resident Engineer
Openings: 1
Job Station: Site Based

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Resident Engineer in overall site supervision, ensuring that works are carried out in accordance with design specifications, drawings, contractual provisions, and safety standards
  • Monitor daily construction activities, maintain site records, and prepare progress reports
  • Review and check construction drawings and provide inputs for clarification or modification where required
  • Support in coordinating contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth site operations
  • Assist in the verification of constrictor’s bills, work measurements, and variations
  • Monitor contractor’s compliance with quality control and safety requirements
  • Provide technical assistance in resolving construction challenges and unforeseen site issues Participate in meetings with contractors, projects stakeholders and concerned authorities as required
  • Ensure timely communication of site updates to the Resident Engineer and project office
  • Utilize project management tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Office Suite) to support planning, monitoring, and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in hydropower construction, OR Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with at least 12 years of relevant experience in hydropower construction, having served in a similar position (site-based completion) on at least one hydropower project (preferably 30 MW or above)
  • Hands -on experience in tunnel works, underground structures, and/or civil works related to hydropower projects. Knowledge of elector-mechanical and hydro-mechanical systems will be considered an advantage
  • Familiarity with the administration of FIDIC contracts and construction supervision practices in desirable
  • Experience in assisting with testing and commissioning works of hydropower projects, familiarity with regulatory and environmental frameworks governing hydropower projects in Nepal will be an added advantage

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering works related to hydropower construction
  • Good understanding of construction management and contract administration
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both English and Nepali)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team under high-pressure conditions
  • Familiarity with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality assurance procedures
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
