SOS Children’s Villages Nepal, a non-governmental social development organisation, supports children and young people without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief. We advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. In line with our mission, SOS Children’s Villages Nepal has established the SOS Business Incubation Centre (SBIC). This initiative aims to provide young people with a platform to generate business ideas, test them, and cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset. SBIC also offers opportunities for teams to become trained mentors for aspiring young entrepreneurs. The broader goal of SBIC is to empower young people to embark on their entrepreneurial journeys and promote them as economically active citizens of Nepal, thereby contributing to the generation of employment opportunities. Currently, SOS Children’s Villages Nepal is seeking qualified and motivated individuals for the position of SBIC Coordinator at the National Office, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur.
SBIC Coordinator (1) – Full time
Qualification, Experience and Skills:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Project Management, or Entrepreneurship Development with at least a second division or its equivalent, and at least three years of relevant work experience in managing business incubation centres.
- Ability to manage resources to operate the SBIC effectively.
- Establish the Nava Udhyamshala Programme through a series of necessary sessions and training.
- Strengthen the network of SBIC and incubees among other ecosystem actors.
- Create a pool of mentors and investors.
- Ability to train the team in managing the incubation centre and organise various sessions and training.
- Knowledge of establishing a sustainable business model for SBIC.
- Promote the identity and services of SBIC to the wider community.
For the above-mentioned position, candidate must be a Nepali citizen.
