School Mobilizer

Role Summary
The School Mobilizer will work fully with the education team and experts and will be responsible for updating regular school activities. He/She will be the point of contact with school administration, students, SMC/PTA, the community, and the parents. He/She will monitor the school’s internal and external environment keeping track records and reporting to the respective EOs. He/She should be able to share the organization’s vision and mission with the beneficiaries and stakeholders of the school and collect data on UWSN’s ongoing projects and programs.
Major Responsibilities
- Monitoring regular school activities and motivating teachers in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities
- Monitoring & record-keeping and reporting school internal and external environments
- Identifying urgent needs for school and reporting to the line manager
- Collecting and recording school data and documents i.e., student monthly attendance, meeting minutes, exam results, photos, and other related documents, and providing them to the line manager for documentation
- Monitoring monthly education resources and their use
- Implementation of UWS’ Child Protection Policy in all UWS Nepal schools, including raising Child Protection concerns to Child
- Protection Regional and National Leads
- Implementation of UWS’ Inclusion Policy at the school level
- In collaboration with regional child protection lead work on the identification of the child protection and safeguarding issues
- Teacher classroom observation
- Meeting with SMC/PTA school staff and parents on a monthly basis
- Visiting and counseling students’ parents who have a low attendance rate
- Track down intervention measures for children at risk
- Collect children’s case stories from his/her cluster schools
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, experience in the teaching field, and training in education and working with children and school will be preferable.
- Willing to work with children, teachers, parents, and the community
- Should have an understanding of the education system of government schools in rural Nepal
- Good communication skills within an organization, education stakeholders, and the
community - Flexible to work long hours beyond working hours
- Able to work in a multicultural environment
- Basic proficiency in Nepali languages and understanding of the English language
- Computer skills
- Report writing skills
