We’re seeking a results-driven Finance Officer with 3-4 years of experience to carry out the financial transactions and meet the standard compliance in our growing organization.

Senior Finance Officer
Job Level: Mid Level

Offered Salary: NPR. 35,000 to 40,000
Probation Period: 3 months

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Basic Accounting & Financial Records:
1.Verify accounting entries & records for all daily transactions related to sales for accuracy and completeness.
2. Validate/post related to utilities, petty cash etc.
3. Validate/post any other miscellaneous journal entries.
4. Validate/Post Import-Bills Entry & verify Cost Sheet (Pricing).
5. Prepare Salary Sheet of all staff manually and ensure correctness of calculation of all elements involved.
6. Validate/Post Payroll Distribution.
7. Create Contacts/Ledgers with accurate names avoiding errors & duplicity.
8. Supervise Product/Stock Entry.
9. Prepare Net Trading Assets (NTA) reports for banking purpose.
2. Bank & Cash Transactions:
1. Validate and/or Post transactions related to bank deposits and payments daily
2. Monitor transactions related to bank deposits and payments made by staff at various other work stations daily
3. Reconcile all bank balances (up to 2 decimal places) by the end of the day daily
4. Validate/Post transactions related to Post-Dated Cheques & verify Cheque Register
5. Verify Bounce Cheque Management & Reporting
6. Verify Petty Cash Ledgers of various work stations
7. Execute Letter of Credit(LC), Telegraphic Transfer(TT) management.
8. Execute Overdraft, Working Capital & Cash Flow Management.
3. Inter-Company Transactions:
1. Validate/Post Inter-Company entries
2. Perform Inter-Company balance’s reconciliation (up to 2 decimal places) on a weekly basis.
4. Accounts Receivables & Accounts Payables:
1. Record transactions related to accounts receivable and payable.
2. Reconcile party balances on a weekly basis (up to 2 decimal places)
3. Obtain party balance confirmation certificates on a quarterly basis and annually at the end of every financial year.
4. Prepare bill-wise ageing reports .
5. Supervise payments collection & payments disbursement.
5. Taxation:
1. Verify Sales & Purchase Register Updates
2. Prepare Monthly Value Added Tax (VAT) Reconciliation statements
3. Execute VAT Return Submission
4. Make necessary arrangements for payment of VAT liabilities
5. Verify various Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) reconciliation
6. Execute e-TDS Return Submission
7. Make necessary arrangements for payment of TDS liabilities
8. Execute Advance Tax Submission
6. Accounting & Financial Reporting:
1. Prepare periodic financial reports related to sales, expenses etc. & the analysis thereon to detect and resolve problems.
2. Prepare Annual Financial Statements viz. Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Profit & Loss, Statement of Cash Flow and Notes thereon.
3. Prepare any other accounting & financial reports as per the requirement.
7. Accounting & Financial Reporting:
1. Prepare periodic financial reports related to sales, expenses etc. & the analysis thereon to detect and resolve problems.
2. Prepare Annual Financial Statements viz. Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Profit & Loss, Statement of Cash Flow and Notes thereon.
3. Prepare any other accounting & financial reports as per the requirement.
8. Year End Compliance Procedures:
1. Participate in & contribute to financial audits viz. Statutory Audit, Internal Audit etc.
2. Execute compliance procedures related to the Local Level Authorities, the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) & the Office of Companies Registrar and any other authority where there is an obligation to do so.
9. Others:
1. Execute the role as a focal point of contact for other departments on Financial and Accounting matters
2. Supporting the Sr. Manager-Finance, Risk Analyst and other executives of the Finance department with projects and tasks when required
3. Adhere to Financial policies and procedures and any other relevant provisions of any Act, Standard or Law.
