Senior Program Officer
Centre for Rural Technology, Nepal (CRT/N), a professional non-governmental organization engaged in developing and promoting appropriate rural technologies effective in meeting the basic needs and improving the livelihood of rural people. It was established in August 1989 under the Company Act. CRT/N was re-registered as social organization with the Government of Nepal under the Social Organization Registration Act 1977 (2034 B.S.) in October 1998.
The organization has been supported by more than 40 international organizations and Government agencies for the implementation of more than 100 projects in three major themes:
- Energy transition
- GEDSI in the energy sector
- Building climate resilience
Senior Program Officer (Duty Station: Kathmandu)
Technical Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operation and management of Project Implementation Department;
- Play leading roles in implementation of Renewable Energy and Climate Change sector related Programs/Projects in the provincial and local government level and developing operational modalities/mechanism in working with local/provincial government and in partnership/collaboration with National and International Organization.
- Be responsible for monitoring of progress, making field visits as required by projects for timely and effective implementation of project(s);
- Undertake research related to energy, productive uses of energy and climate mitigation/adaptation/resilience.
- Support in exploring potential funding sources and opportunities and develop project proposals, primarily concerning rural and renewable energy technologies, in partnership and collaboration with National, Local,
- Regional and International Organizations
- Undertake duties as and when required as instructed by Deputy Director/Supervisor, Executive Director and Senior Advisors.
Eligibility
- Masters of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, Mechanical, Environment, Civil or equivalent with 3 years of experience in Renewable Energy -based project implementation.
