Position Overview
Shaurya Cements Industries Limited is looking for a competent and experienced Store Manager to manage end-to-end store operations for our Cement and Clinkerization Unit. The role is critical in ensuring uninterrupted plant operations through effective inventory control, SAP B1 transactions, and compliance with safety and audit standards.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations & Inventory Control
- Manage daily store operations for raw materials, spares, consumables, fuels, packing materials, and engineering items (mechanical, electrical, refractory, instrumentation, civil, etc.).
- Ensure proper receipt, inspection, stacking, labeling, and preservation of materials.
- Maintain minimum, maximum, and reorder levels to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, obsolete, and surplus inventory and initiate optimization or disposal actions.
SAP B1 & Documentation
- Execute all store transactions in SAP Business One (SAP B1) including GRN, issue, return, transfer, stock adjustment, and consumption posting.
- Ensure real-time system entries matching physical stock.
- Maintain accurate documentation such as GRNs, delivery challans, gate entries, issue slips, and material return notes.
Coordination & Support
- Coordinate with Purchase, Maintenance, Production, and Finance teams for material planning and issue.
- Support shutdowns, preventive maintenance, and breakdown activities by ensuring timely availability of critical spares.
- Liaise with vendors, transporters, and security for material receipt and dispatch.
Stock Verification & Audit
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile variances with SAP B1.
- Support internal, statutory, and management audits.
- Prepare MIS reports on stock status, consumption trends, and inventory valuation.
Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping
- Ensure safe storage and handling of materials as per EHS guidelines.
- Maintain 5S standards, FIFO/FEFO practices, and fire safety compliance.
- Prevent material loss, pilferage, and damage through effective control systems.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of cement plant and clinkerization unit materials and spares.
- Hands-on experience in SAP B1 (mandatory).
- Sound understanding of inventory control techniques and store accounting.
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings and material specifications.
- Strong coordination, documentation, and analytical skills.
- High integrity and attention to detail.
Qualification & Experience
- Education: Diploma / Graduate in Engineering, Materials Management, or relevant discipline
- Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in cement manufacturing stores
- Mandatory: Prior experience in cement industry and SAP B1
