Social Mobilizer

The RESPONSE TO EMERGENCY LIVELIHOODS AND INFRASTRUCTURE FOR FLOOD-AFFECTED FAMILIES (RELIEF) OF BARDIYA Project is implemented by Caritas Nepal to support flood-affected families in Bardiya District by providing timely emergency assistance, including safe shelter construction, livelihood support, and essential community infrastructure rehabilitation. The project also focuses on building community resilience through awareness-raising, participatory planning, and capacity-building initiatives, ensuring transparency, accountability, and active engagement of beneficiaries in all stages of project implementation.

Location: Gulariya Municipality, Bardiay

Project Period: Till 30 June 2026.

Reports to: Shelter Project Coordinator and District Program Coordinator

Requirements and Qualifications

• Ability to analyze and resolve community issues related to shelter construction and livelihoods.
• Strong public communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in conducting household interviews and community surveys.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt, and apply knowledge in field settings.
• Ability to prepare clear, accurate, and timely reports.
• Ability to work respectfully, collaboratively, and effectively within a team.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, and email communication.
• Self-motivated, hard-working, and able to work independently.
• Fluency in Awadhi, Tharu, and Hindi; working knowledge of Nepali.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience working with communities, particularly in shelter construction, livelihoods support, and community mobilization activities.

Qualification:

• +2 (Intermediate level) education is required; Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences is preferred.

Additional Requirement:

• Must have a valid two-wheeler driving license for field mobility and community visits.
