Social Mobilizer (WASH)

Location: Based in Bagmti Rural Municipality- Ghusel (project coverage area Mahankal RM, Godawari Municipality, Konjyosom RM)
Reporting to: Emergency Response Coordinator
Parallel Reporting to: MEAL Coordinator
Duration: 1st December 2024 to 31st March 2025
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum Intermediate (+2) level education in a relevant field.
- At least a year of experience in social mobilization preferably in the WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) sector or similar humanitarian settings.
- Experience in small –scale project budgets and reporting
- Fluency in written and spoken Nepali, proficiency in English is an added advantage.
- Strong ability to build relationships with community members, local authorities, and stakeholders; effective in coordinating WASH activities at the community level
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse groups, including vulnerable populations
- Good understanding of development issues with emphasis on participation, sustainability in WASH intervention.
- Experience in working directly with communities to implement behaviour change related to hygiene and sanitation practices.
