We are now looking for interested and qualified candidates for the position of Coordinator –Family Strengthening Programme (FS Coordinator) at SOS Children’s Village Dhangadhi.

Coordinator – Family Strengthening Programme (FS Coordinator)

Working station: Gauriganga Municipality-7, Manakapur, Kailali

The FS Coordinator plays a pivotal role in leading, coordinating and overseeing initiatives covering childcare and protection, livelihood development, WASH, health, nutrition, and local governance. This position requires a skilled professional with a strong background in project management, stakeholder engagement, and a profound understanding of the programme’s core areas.

Key performance areas and main responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes a comprehensive strategy for effective programme implementation, ensuring alignment with local needs.
  • Supports Children’s Village Dhangadhi in feasibility study, needs assessment, beneficiary selection, project proposal development and exploration of funding sources.
  • Supports capacity building of community based organisations, self-help groups, local NGOs and local authorities to ensure sustainability of the programme results.
  • Provides leadership, mentorship, and capacity building to the team for successful programme execution.
  • Cultivates strong relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders to foster collaboration and resource mobilisation.
  • Oversees budgeting processes to align funds with programme objectives and organisational policies.
  • Establishes robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track programme impact and outcomes.
  • Advocates for policy changes in childcare practices and represents the organisation in relevant forums to drive policy influence aligned with programme targets.

Qualification, experience and skills:

  • Minimum Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., development studies, social sciences, public health, education, employability/entrepreneurship, etc.) with at least a second division or equivalent from a recognised university.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in programme management and coordination, focusing on child development, child protection, education, livelihood, WASH, health, nutrition, and local governance.
  • Strong understanding of national policies, regulations, and frameworks related to children, along with familiarity with alternative guidelines and policies.
  • Proven track record in stakeholder engagement, partnership building, and resource mobilisation.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Nepali, proficiency in computer applications, including report-writing abilities.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude.
  • Preference will be given to candidates having a two–wheeler license.

For the above mentioned position, candidate must be a Nepali citizen of age below 35 years.
