Position Summary
Store Operation and commercial activity as well management of MIS support.
Major Roles And Responsibilities (Job Details)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of raw materials, packaging materials, spare parts, and consumables.
- Regularly conduct stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with ERP system records.Implement inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
- Receive incoming materials, ensuring proper documentation and verification of quantities and quality.
- Conduct inspections to ensure that materials meet quality standards and specifications.
- Report and document any discrepancies or damages to the HOD.
- Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent damage and deterioration.
- Implement an organized layout within the store for easy accessibility and retrieval of items.
- Monitor and control storage conditions such as temperature and humidity as needed.
- Coordinate with various departments to fulfill material requisitions in a timely manner.
- Maintain a system for issuing materials based on FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
- Implement procedures to prevent unauthorized access to the store.
- Prepare regular reports on material transactions, stock status, and consumption patterns.
- Maintain records of receipts, issuances, and returns for auditing purposes.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in BBS/Masters, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven 2 years’ experience as a Store Officer or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the steel industry.
- Sound knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with MS package and ERP software for inventory management.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
