We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Scanner Technician to join our team. The Scanner Technician will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining document imaging and scanning equipment. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team. The Scanner Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate operation of scanning systems to meet the organization’s document management needs.
Responsibilities:
Scanner Installation and Configuration:
- Install and set up documents scanners, ensuring proper functionality and integration with existing system.
- Configure scanning equipment based on specific project requirements and user needs.
- Conduct thorough testing to guarantee optimal performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during installation.
Scanner Maintenance and Repair
- Perform routine maintenance on scanning equipment to ensure longevity and reliability.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to scanners.
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs and replacements as needed.
- Timely field visits(inside & outside valley) for project site machine maintenance and repair.
Quality control:
- Conduct regular quality checks on scanned documents to ensure clarity, accuracy and completeness.
- Implement and adhere to quality assurance standard to meet organizational requirements.
User Training and supports:
- Train end-users on the proper operation and maintenance of scanning equipment.
- Provide technical support to users, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Create user manuals and documentation for reference.
Software Integration:
- Collaborate with IT professionals to integrate scanning systems with existing software applications.
- Stay current with technological advancements in scanning software and hardware.
Security and compliance:
- Implement and enforce security measure to protect sensitive data during the scanning process.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of scanning equipment, parts and supplies.
- Engaged proactively in overseeing import operations for part of and scanner machines, consistently conducting diligent follow ups and maintaining comprehensive records.
- Coordinate procurement and replacement of scanners and related components.
Reporting:
- Generate regular reports on scanner performance, issues and resolutions for management reviews.
Specification:
- Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting scanning hardware and software knowledge of OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology is plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
- Strong Analytical and problem solving abilities to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for quality control and inventory management.
