Technical Support Engineer

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. You will install, configure, and maintain systems, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and provide critical support for networks, servers, and applications.You will work closely with other IT teams, provide support for door access and CCTV systems, and ensure A/V equipment is fully operational, contributing to seamless system functionality and enhanced security.

Qualification and Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in related field.

Job Description

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Oversee and support door access control systems, ensuring they are always operational and secure.
  • Address and troubleshoot CCTV system issues to guarantee optimal performance and security compliance.
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and performance issues, maintaining a high level of system uptime.
  • Work closely with other IT departments to enhance system efficiency, reliability, and security protocols.
  • Provide timely and efficient support for software applications, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth operations.
  • Assist with OS-related issues across various platforms, including Windows, macOS, and Linux, ensuring cross-platform compatibility and functionality.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment such as projectors, ensuring they are ready for use at all times.
  • Monitor physical server performance, respond to alerts, and proactively address potential issues before they escalate.
  • Install certificates and necessary applications for both users and servers, ensuring compliance and security.
  • Resolve hardware malfunctions and connectivity issues related to printers, ensuring uninterrupted document processing.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain SIP phone systems, providing smooth and reliable voice communication across the organization.
  • Set up and configure servers according to organizational requirements, optimizing for performance and security.
  • Conduct periodic visits to the datacenter to perform server maintenance, upgrades, and assist with physical hardware requirements.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in computer systems, networking, and security protocols.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Strong understanding of OS environments (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • Knowledge of A/V equipment and SIP phone systems.
