Job Summary:

The UI/UX Designer will play a pivotal role in designing intuitive and engaging user interfaces for our banking applications. He/She will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, the product team, and other stakeholders, to create a seamless and user-friendly experience for our customers and internal employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design user interfaces for web and mobile banking applications that are intuitive, engaging, and user-friendly.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and insights.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups for new features and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define user requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across all digital platforms.
  • Stay updated on the latest UI/UX trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback and analytics data.
  • Ensure that the applications comply with accessibility standards and guidelines.
  • Present design concepts and ideas to stakeholders for feedback and approval.

Required Job Knowledge and Competencies:

  • Experience in designing for complex, data-rich applications.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices (e.g., WCAG).
  • Understanding of financial services and banking industry trends.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with user analytics and tracking tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar).
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with prototyping tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of responsive design principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design work and process.

Prerequisites for applying:

  • Minimum 2.5 CGPA or 2nd Division in Bachelor’s degree (Preferably Master’s Degree) in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Age not exceeding 40 years as of 29th January 2025.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.

Other Eligibility Criteria:

  • In case of any educational qualification from foreign Universities /institutions, equivalence certificate from competent authority of Nepal is a must.
  • Candidate applying for any above position must be willing to work anywhere in Nepal as per the Bank’s requirement.

All candidates must be proficient in written/spoken Nepali and English language and be computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office applications. Candidates are expected to have smart and pleasant personality, be articulate with superior interpersonal skills and desire to excel. The candidates must have positive attitude and be a team player but be able to work independently and take initiatives.
