Summary:
The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Program Management Assistant. This vacancy is open to all interested applicants.
The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Supervisory Position: No
Relocation Expenses Reimbursed: No
Travel Required: Occasional Travel Based on program/projects requirement, the position has to perform in-country and international travel.
Duties
The incumbent performs highly responsible and complex program management, administrative and logistical works in planning, developing, managing, overseeing, coordinating, and implementing nationwide multi-jurisdictional and multi-level law enforcement training programs and services. The incumbent liaises and coordinates with law enforcement agencies for training partnerships. The incumbent designs and applies evaluation techniques and proficiency testing methods that measure the effectiveness of law enforcement assistance programs.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
FOR THE EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS APPLICANTS MUST MEET EITHER OPTION 1 OR OPTION 2 TO QUALIFY.
Option- 1
EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience in the field of criminal justice, law enforcement, civil affairs or administrative functions is required.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science, Public Administration, Education or Business Management is required.
Option-2
EXPERIENCE: Four years of experience in the field of criminal justice, law enforcement, civil affairs or administrative functions is required.
EDUCATION: Two years of college studies is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of host country traditions, history, and political environment is required. Knowledge of Nepal law enforcement structures is required.

LANGUAGE: Fluent Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. Fluent Speaking/Reading/Writing Nepali is required.
