Summary:
The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu, Nepal is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Travel Clerk. This position is open to all interested applicants.
The work schedule for this position is Full Time (40 hours per week).
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

The incumbent is responsible for preparing Travel Authorizations (TAs) for both domestic and international travel and processing of travel vouchers. The incumbent reconciles the invoiced ticketing and TAs to ensure billing matches the ticketing. The incumbent visits the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government offices for processing and obtaining travel and trekking permits. The incumbent serves as a backup sub-cashier and timekeeper for the General Services Office.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years of work experience in administrative or travel management field is required.
Education Requirements: Completion of secondary education is required.

LANGUAGE: Good working knowledge speaking/reading/writing English is required. Good working knowledge speaking/reading/writing Nepali is required.

KNOWLEDGE: General knowledge in the areas of domestic and international travel management is required. Knowledge of general office procedures, records management and customer service is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good organizational and interpersonal skills are required. Ability to use MS Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
