WASH Researcher
Contract: Short-Term (On-Call Basis)
Location: Assigned District
Reporting to: Project Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive professional to join our team as a WASH Researcher on a short-term, on-call basis. The successful candidate will support the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Unit by conducting qualitative and quantitative research for our ongoing WASH project.
Qualifications and Requirements
Research Experience:
- Proven experience in facilitating Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with local WASH stakeholders, including water user committees, local leaders, and healthcare workers.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, water engineering, or development studies. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of research experience, including at least 5 years focused on WASH and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in rural and urban areas of Nepal.
Language Proficiency:
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken Nepali. Proficiency in English writing will be considered an asset.
Availability:
- Ready to join the team from 30th January 2025.
