About YKP LEAD Nepal

YKP LEAD Nepal is a youth-led and youth-serving organization committed to promoting the rights, wellbeing, and leadership of Young Key Populations (YKPs) and Young People Living with HIV (YPLHIV) in Nepal. Guided by the motto “For the youth, by the youth, and led by the youth,” we work to build leadership, strengthen advocacy, and create inclusive spaces for meaningful youth engagement.

Purpose of the Assignment

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Consultant to lead the development of a comprehensive 5-Year Strategic Plan (2025–2030) for YKP LEAD Nepal. This plan will serve as a guiding framework to strengthen our organizational vision, enhance programmatic impact, and align our goals with the evolving needs of YKPs and YPLHIV in Nepal.

Scope of Work

The Consultant will:

• Conduct a situation and organizational capacity assessment, including stakeholderconsultations (with board, staff, partners, and youth networks).
• Facilitate a strategic planning workshop with key stakeholders.
• Develop clear strategic priorities, goals, outcomes, and implementation pathways.
• Integrate monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) components.
• Provide a draft and final 5-Year Strategic Plan document with a costed implementation framework.

Deliverables

• Inception report with methodology and timeline.
• Stakeholder consultation summary report.
• Strategic planning workshop facilitation
• Draft Strategic Plan (2025–2030).
• Final Strategic Plan (with logframe, MEL framework, and cost estimate).

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in developing strategic plans, preferably for youth-led or community-based organizations
• Strong understanding of the HIV response, key populations, and human rights in Nepal
• Demonstrated facilitation skills and participatory planning experience
• Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills
• Familiarity with national policies, the Global Fund, and community-led responses is an asset
