Job Description

•  Supervise the work in the workshop area; Ensure timely and quality service is provided at workshop within the estimated cost
•  Punch all job cards and spare parts requirements in the EPR system; Ensure accuracy of the information recorded in the System
•  Allocate jobs to the Technicians as per nature of work and update mechanic allocation board/sheet; Maintain work distribution control and ensure optimum utilization of available capacity
•  Diagnose faults/malfunctions through various trials and testing of automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostics as well as other testing devices; Confirm findings with the Concerned for approval to repair or replace unit
•  Issue pre-requisition of spare parts to the Store, as per necessity of job and ensure timely supply of parts
•  Review work-in-progress and work orders; discuss and consult with the Concerned for any additional jobs required which is noticed during the process of repair work
•  Raise work order/letter to machine shop and outside agency for the Ancillary Works
•  Observe and decide for warranty; Carry out associated documentation procedure and keep the records up to date

Job Specifications

•  Bachelor’s in Automobile/ Mechanical Engineering OR Result Waiting.
•  Knowledge of customer preferences and trends in the Automobile industry
•  Good technical knowledge
•  Knowledge of workshop norms, procedure, and management
•  Good leadership and communication skills
•  Creative thinking and rational decision-making skills
•  Good knowledge of computer applications like ERP and MS Office
