Position: Executive Director
Working Hours: 40 hours/week – Full Time
Location: Bishalnagar, Kathmandu, Nepal

Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal (FWEAN) is seeking a passionate and qualified individual to join the team in the full-time position of Executive Director (ED). The Executive Director is the face of FWEAN and is expected to provide leadership and management for the organization to fulfill its mission of empowering women entrepreneurs in Nepal. This is a Kathmandu-based opportunity for a leader who will take the organization’s programming and funding to the next level. The ED will be responsible for overseeing the management of programs and organization administration, strategic planning, stakeholder relationship building, fundraising, and growth of FWEAN over the next five years.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate the highest degree of integrity, transparency, professionalism, initiative, innovation, and commitment to women’s economic empowerment and entrepreneurship development. The candidate should possess strong leadership capacity, fundraising expertise, partnership-building ability, and proven experience in managing programs, events, expos, fairs, and organizational operations.
The Executive Director will work closely with the President, Office Bearers and the Executive Members and abide by the Code of Conduct, mission, vision and the HR by-law of the organization.
Required Qualifications and Skills:

- Strong commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal (FWEAN) and demonstrated passion for women’s empowerment through entrepreneurship.
- Proven leadership experience with at least 3–5 years in a senior management or Executive Director role within NGOs, associations, chambers, membership-based organizations, or development organizations.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Development Studies, Management, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Strategic leadership and organizational development
- Fundraising and proposal writing
- Partnership building and stakeholder engagement
- Program and project management
Advocacy and policy engagement - Event, expo, and fair management
- Membership and chapter strengthening
- Strong understanding of governance and membership-based organizations.
- Mature, empathetic, objective, fair-minded, flexible, resourceful, open to new ideas, and feedback.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, transparency, accountability, and emotional intelligence.
- A self-starter who can work both collaboratively and independently in a direct and transparent manner.
- Able to lead in a fast-paced work environment.
- Commitment to quality and programmatic outcomes and impacts of FWEAN.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to lead by example.
- Proficiency in both Nepali and English and excellent communication skills.
- This is a full-time position with a minimum duration of 2 years.
