Job Title: Document Controller
Work Location: Bhairahawa, Lumbini, Nepal

Job Purpose:
To manage, control and maintain all project documentation throughout the construction lifecycle. To ensure proper document registration, distribution, revision control, filing, and archiving while supporting project teams in maintaining accurate engineering records.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Document Control Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain project document control system in accordance with project requirements.
- Manage and control all technical documents including: Architectural drawings, Structural drawings, MEP drawings, Interior drawings, Shop drawings, As-built drawings
- Maintain and regularly update: Drawing Register, RFI Register, Submittal Register, Material Approval Register, Method Statement Register, Transmittal Register.
- Ensure proper document numbering, revision control, and status tracking.
- Distribute approved drawings and documents to site engineers and relevant departments.
- Ensure only latest approved drawings are used at site.
- Coordinate with Client, Consultant, Contractor, and Subcontractors for document submissions and approvals.
- Maintain both electronic and hard copy filing system as per project requirements.
- Prepare document status reports (weekly and monthly).
- Maintain project records for audit, quality control, and project handover.
- Ensure proper archiving of project documents.
2. BIM Monitoring Responsibilities
- Monitor BIM implementation as per BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
- Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, MEP, and Interior BIM teams.
- Track and monitor BIM model revisions and updates.
- Ensure BIM models match approved shop drawings and IFC drawings.
- Assist in clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or similar software.
- Maintain BIM model version control and update records.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and maintain meeting records.
- Support preparation of coordinated shop drawings and as-built BIM models.
- Ensure BIM standards compliance as per project and consultant requirements.
- Support digital documentation and model-based coordination.
3. Coordination Responsibilities
- Coordinate with – Client representatives, Consultants (Architect, Structural, MEP, Interior), Contractors and Subcontractors, Site Engineers and Project Team.
- Support smooth flow of project documentation and technical information.
- Ensure timely submission and approval of drawings and materials.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related engineering discipline.
- 2-3 years of experience in document control or engineering coordination within construction projects.
- Experience in hotel, commercial building, high-rise, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Experience working with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Required Candidate’s Profile:
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and construction documentation.
- General knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts and basic working knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (preferred).
- Excellent document management and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
