Position: Account officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Account Officer to manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records and documents. The key responsibility of the candidate shall be:

1. Recording the transaction accurately and timely in accounting system.
2. Verify the documents for accuracy of transactions.
3. Coordinate with project teams and other stakeholders to receive necessary financial documents on timely manner.
4. Prepare payable details for timely processing and approval and process for bank deposit after approvals.
5. Periodic reconciliation of account balances.
6. Maintain confidentiality of financial information and safeguard sensitive information of organization and its operations.
7. Maintain relationship with suppliers, customers and other stakeholders with regards to financial obligations.
8. Assist in developing and implementing internal controls for safeguarding organization assets.
9. Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by senior officers and management.
10. Preparing various reports as required for reporting to management.
11. Ensure compliance with applicable financial laws, taxation requirements, and company policies.

Required qualifications :

1. Professional qualifications such as ACCA (professional level) or semi-qualified CA (ICAN/ICAI) or Master degree in accounts or finance.
2. Candidate should have at least 3 years of work experience or if articleship is completed 1 year of experience.
3. Sound knowledge of accounting principles and applicable rules and regulations.
4. Strong analytical, numerical and problem solving skills.
5. Ability to deliver consistent performance under pressure.
6. Excellent communication and time management skill.
7. Valid driving license and own two wheeler.
8. Experience in working with tally.

Preferred (not required):

Prior experience in project-based/construction accounting.

Selection criteria: Short listed candidate must go through interview and practical assessment of skill and knowledge on tally. The selection of candidate for the role will be based on management’s sole judgement.
