Posiiton: Assistant Account Manager

We are looking for a capable and detail-oriented Assistant Account Manager to take ownership of core accounting operations, maintain reliable bookkeeping, guide the accounting team, and support strong financial discipline across the business. This role is ideal for a finance professional who can combine accuracy, compliance awareness, and practical problem-solving to strengthen controls, improve reporting, and support smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily accounting operations with a focus on accuracy, timely posting, clean ledgers, proper reconciliations, and disciplined bookkeeping.
- Ensure the smooth processing of employee claims, vendor payments, advances, and supporting documents within agreed timelines.
- Prepare meaningful monthly MIS reports, review key balances, and highlight financial matters requiring management attention.
- Supervise and develop accountants and junior staff by promoting accuracy, accountability, timely delivery, and adherence to company procedures.
- Coordinate confidently with vendors, internal departments, Customs, legal advisors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
- Maintain strong compliance with tax, VAT/TDS, statutory, business law, documentation, and audit requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing, provisions, schedules, reconciliations, and internal/external audit deliverables.
- Proactively identify control gaps and recommend practical improvements in accounting processes, reporting, documentation, and compliance practices.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- 5+ years of solid experience in accounting operations, bookkeeping, compliance, MIS reporting, reconciliations, and closing activities.
- Strong ability to supervise accounting staff, improve work discipline, and ensure timely, accurate delivery.
- Good knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, tax compliance, statutory compliance, and business law documentation.
- Advanced Excel skills with practical experience using accounting software or ERP systems.
- A proactive, dependable, and detail-focused professional with strong analytical, coordination, documentation, and follow-up skills.
