Position: Research Associate (1)
Location: Kathmandu, with frequent field visits
Duration: One year (with possible extension)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support the design and implementation of Greenhood Nepal’s wildlife research and conservation programs
- Proactively identify, develop, communicate and manage relationships with local communities, project partners, and field staff
- Collect data, information, maintain database, prepare required reports and memos, and publish research findings
- Plan and arrange necessary meetings, workshops, and events as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Greenhood Nepal
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in subjects related to natural resource management (preferably Botany, Forestry, Environmental Science)
- Experience: Minimum one year of professional experience working in wildlife conservation. Prior experience in the field of plant conservation and restoration is an advantage.
- Skills & Competencies: The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in conservation, proficiency in social and ecological data collection, analysis, and publications.
