Position: Loan Manager (Agri-financing)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Station: On-Site / Kuleshwor, Kathmandu

Offered Monthly Gross Salary: NPR. 35,000/- to 40,000/-

Working Hours: 9:30am to 5:30pm / Sunday – Thursday

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Loan Manager, specialized in Agri-financing sector, to oversee loan management operations in agriculture sector, and support product development and market expansion efforts. This role combines responsibilities across loan processing, compliance, product implementation, and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire loan process, from application to approval, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely decisions.
  • Review and assess loan applications to make sure they meet credit and risk standards before approval.
  • Coordinate with credit and collections teams to handle complex or high-risk cases and support timely resolutions.
  • Monitor loan performance and identify potential repayment issues early to minimize risks.
  • Lead and support the loan operations team, providing guidance, feedback, and training to maintain strong performance.
  • Improve operational efficiency by developing best practices and using data to optimize processes and service quality.
  • Report key metrics and insights to management, highlighting loan trends, risks, and overall portfolio performance.
  • Assist in planning and execution of multiple product verticals (e.g., Dairy, Tea/Coffee value chains).
  • Strategize on how to improve usage and documentation of existing systems and workflows.
  • Explore opportunities within existing Aloi platforms to build revenue and expand the client base.
  • Liaise with Banking and Financial Institutions on access-to-finance strategies and implementations.
  • Maintain and monitor product/project schedules, budgets, annual targets and plans.
  • Participate in team meetings, strategy meetings, sharing insights, and contributing to overall team success.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Agri-economics, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in loan operations, credit management, or agri financial services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong background in loan processing, risk management, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team management and client interaction.
  • In-depth knowledge of lending regulations, compliance standards, and risk management practices.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills in both Nepali and English
