JOB OPPORTUNITY
Position: Store Supervisor-Pharping
Bigmart is rapidly supermarket chain with 140+ stores currently operating across various parts Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara and Chitwan. With ambitious growth targets, we are constantly seeking to expand our team of professionals. We are currently looking for 2 exceptional Store Supervisors who are keen to take responsibility and play an active role in our success as we continue to grow, particularly for our two (2) upcoming stores in Pharping
Department: Operations
No of Vacancy: 2
Location: Pharping, Kathmandu
Work Schedule: Candidates must be flexible to work in rotational shifts as listed below:
Opening Shift: 6:00 AM -2:00 PM
Closing Shift: 1:00 PM-9:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Store Lead in implementing company programs and action plans to achieve sales and operational targets
- Oversee day-to-day store operations and take on responsibility in the absence of the Store Lead
- Share constructive suggestions with the Store lead for store and process improvements
- Supervise team members by providing guidance, supporting skill development, and maintaining positive team morale
- Manage inventory and merchandising by ensuring stock availability, visual standards, stock movement, price tagging, expiry control, shrinkage reduction, and maintain strong products knowledge
- Conduct staff induction and support ongoing training, motivation, and retraining initiatives
- Safeguard inventory against internal and external losses
- Assist in achieving sales targets, controlling expanses, and preparing routine reports
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Lead
Job Specifications:
Education and Qualifications: Minimum +2 completed or equivalent
Experiences: 1-2 years of experience in FMCG, retail, or other service industries, preferably in supervisory role
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Good command of both English and Nepali
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Strong leadership, supervisory, teamwork, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and collaborate with teams
- Flexible with work timing and location mobility
- Customer service orientation with strong problem-solving ability
- Ability to work under pressure and meet operational targets
