Field Officer
Reports to: Project Coordinator
The position is essential for promoting Helen Keller International’s best practices are upheld, including adherence to the code of conduct, policies and procedures, financial accountability and making sure official matters are kept confidential.
Ensuring quality is a primary objective of Helen Keller International’s programming and monitoring and evaluation oversight is a requirement to achieve the best outcomes possible.
As gender and social inclusion (GESI) is a cross-cutting and core component for Helen Keller International programs, all personnel are required to ensure GESI sensitivity and integration where they work.
Specific Roles and Responsibilities:
- Field Officer should coordinate with Lumbini Province Health Logistic Management Center, Health Offices and Municipalities for the smooth supply of Super Cereal Plus and other commodities.
- S/he should provide technical support to partner NGOs, and health institutions to conduct training and to implement health and nutrition related activities.
- S/he should provide administrative support to the Project Coordinator and assist in the program planning, scheduling, and documentation, ensuring that program activities are well-organized and executed.
- S/he must facilitate communication among program stakeholders, including team members, partners, and external parties.
- S/he should be able to schedule meetings, coordinate for meetings/workshops, prepare agendas, and ensure that relevant information is shared in a timely manner.
- S/he should assist in preparing program reports, compilation, and communication of program status to Project Coordinator.
- S/he must communicate with the implementing partners on implementation modality, quality, and timely delivery of program and coordinate with program team members and provide support as needed.
- S/he should be able to provide training and capacity building to partners and local stakeholders to execute project activities and work closely with NGO partners to assure the program and data quality and the proper mobilization of partner`s staffs.
Qualifications and Competencies:
Educational Degree:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, Nursing, or relevant field. Candidates having Health Assistant, Staff Nurse background would be preferred.
Experiences and other competencies:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in nutrition/health sectors at district level and the experience on management of acute malnutrition program would be preferred.
- Experience working with Health Offices and Municipalities.
- NGO partner mobilization and community mobilization.
- Good Nepali and English communication skills (oral and written).
- Prior work experience in respective districts, province.
- Priority will be given to the person from Lumbini Province.
