Healing Together Nepal builds the power of everyday people to disrupt generational cycles of trauma and violence. Our mental health and trauma-informed care workshops and support groups democratize access to community-centered, peer-led healing resources so communities impacted by trauma can reclaim their inherent strength, wisdom, resilience, and power to heal themselves and others.
To date, we have facilitated trainings with 3,000+ community leaders from various districts of Nepal, who support over 300,000 trauma survivors in their communities.
We are seeking a passionate, highly self-motivated, and multi-talented professional who can support administration, communications, and training activities as Healing Together Nepal continues to grow its impact and co-create a movement for mental health and healing justice in a thoughtful, equitable, adaptable, and sustainable way.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Posiiton: Admin & Communications Officer
Organization: Healing Together Nepal
Reports to: Executive Director
Duty Station: Kathmandu, with travel as required

Position Summary
The Admin & Communications Officer will support the day-to-day administration, financial documentation, logistics, communications, social media, digital advocacy, and selected training activities of Healing Together Nepal.
Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Counseling Psychology, Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field, together with relevant experience in administration, finance, communications, community work, or organizational operations.
The role also retains relevant administrative, financial, communication, scheduling, translation, procurement, and Executive Director support responsibilities previously included in HTN’s Schedule A.
Key Responsibilities1. Administration & Finance
- Support day-to-day office administration and maintain organized physical and digital records.
- Maintain bills, receipts, vouchers, invoices, advances, reimbursements, and other financial documents.
- Support basic bookkeeping, budget tracking, petty cash, and audit documentation.
- Support procurement of office and training materials.
- Maintain staff attendance, leave, contracts, and other administrative records as assigned.
- Support organizational registrations, compliance, and official documentation.
- Coordinate with accountants, auditors, banks, vendors, and service providers as required.
2. Travel & Logistics
- Prepare travel itineraries for staff and the Executive Director.
- Book domestic and international flights, accommodation, vehicles, and other travel arrangements.
- Support travel documentation, invitation letters, visas, advances, and settlements where required.
- Coordinate logistics for trainings, workshops, meetings, and field activities.
- Arrange venues, transportation, refreshments, accommodation, materials, and equipment.
3. Social Media & Communications
- Create, schedule, and manage content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
- Create reels, short videos, captions, stories, graphics, and awareness content with support from the Video Editor, AI tools, or other team members as appropriate.
- Maintain a social media content calendar.
- Support website and digital content updates when required.
- Monitor basic social media reach, engagement, views, and performance.
- Maintain organized archives of photographs, videos, graphics, and communication materials.
4. Podcast, Reels & Advocacy
- Support the planning and production of HTN podcasts.
- Coordinate guests, schedules, recording arrangements, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and promotion.
- Support and amplify advocacy campaigns on mental health, trauma, healing, child protection, childhood sexual violence prevention, parenting, education, and related issues.
- Turn podcasts, trainings, interviews, and events into short clips, reels, quotes, and other digital content.
- Ensure communication is trauma-informed, healing-centered, respectful, child-sensitive, and survivor-sensitive.
5. Documentation, Training & Executive Support
- Support preparation of letters, reports, presentations, meeting documents, and communication materials.
- Translate between Nepali and English when required.
- Coordinate meetings, schedules, appointments, travel, and follow-up for the Executive Director.
- Follow up with staff, partners, vendors, and other stakeholders on administrative matters.
- Support and, where appropriate, facilitate HTN trainings, workshops, and community activities.
- Follow HTN’s safeguarding, child protection, confidentiality, consent, and ethical communication policies.
- Carry out other reasonable administrative, communication, logistical, programmatic, or organizational duties assigned by the Executive Director.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.
- Preference for candidates with a degree in Counseling Psychology, Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in administration, communications, community programs, training, social media, finance, or NGO/INGO work.
- Experience managing financial documentation, travel, meetings, workshops, or office administration is preferred.
- Experience in social media management, reels, video content, podcasts, Canva, or digital advocacy is an advantage.
- Experience providing trainings and working with communities is preferred.
- Strong written and spoken Nepali and English.
- Comfortable using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Canva, and social media platforms.
- Able and willing to travel across Nepal as required.
- Passionate about mental health, healing, storytelling, and social justice.
- Proactive, adaptable, creative, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills, cultural humility, attention to detail, and commitment to trauma-informed values.
- Able to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines while communicating transparently.
