Position: Legal Officer
Location: Ranibari, Kathmandu
Roles & Responsibility:
- To conduct legal analysis and research on various legal matters of the organization.
- Advice on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different deals.
- To draft legal documents, including contracts, statements, agreements, legal opinions, memoranda, legal writings, and other briefing documents.
- To ensure compliance with internal controls, statutory regulations, and other formalities.
- To litigate on behalf of the company in the courts of the country for cases related to banking law, labor law, industrial law, company law, etc.
- To draw up formalities regarding the settlement of disputes and monitor the implementation of the legal clauses.
- To maintain financial stability by controlling bad debts and credit control.
- Keeping up with current changes in all relevant areas of law and contributing to the enhancement of the knowledge base of the company’s legal function.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree or A Master’s degree (LL.M) or relevant certification is a plus.
- Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal research databases.
