Job Title: Operations Coordinator (Tourism)
Location: Kathmandu, Nepal
Reports to: Business Consultant
Himalayan Yogi Adventure is a Nepal-based trekking company dedicated to delivering transformative travel experiences across Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, and India. We specialize in eco-conscious trekking that combines adventure, cultural immersion, and spiritual exploration.
Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator (Tourism). In this role, you will support and coordinate all aspects of our trekking and tour operations, ensuring smooth execution, high-quality service, and a memorable experience for our clients.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate daily operations of treks and tours.
- Communicate with guides, porters, transport providers, accommodation partners, and clients to organize and confirm trip details.
- Prepare and manage detailed itineraries, client documents, permits, and travel packs in both digital and printed formats.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and the internet to maintain accurate booking records, supplier contacts, schedules, and correspondence.
- Support content creation for trip descriptions, briefings, client communication, and basic promotional materials.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries via email, phone, and online platforms.
- Assist with crisis or issue resolution during trips, ensuring client safety and satisfaction.
- Monitor on-the-ground trip execution and gather feedback for quality improvement.
- Promote and uphold the company’s sustainability practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with significant experience in tourism operations will be prioritized, even without a formal degree.
- Minimum 1–3 years of practical experience in tourism, trekking operations, or eco-travel is strongly valued.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Nepali (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and confident use of the internet for research, communication, and coordination.
- Basic content writing skills for preparing itineraries, trip briefs, client emails, and promotional materials.
- Familiarity with Himalayan destinations, cultures, and sustainable tourism principles.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel when required.
- A proactive, dependable, and service-oriented approach with strong teamwork capabilities.
