Manager – Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (OHSE)
Location: Simara, Bara
Jagdamba Steels Limited is looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager – OHSE. This role is critical in driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement OHSE policies, procedures, and systems
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and environmental requirements
- Conduct risk assessments (HIRA/JSA) and implement control measures
- Lead safety inspections, audits, and corrective actions
- Investigate incidents and ensure effective root cause analysis
- Drive safety training, awareness, and PPE compliance
- Oversee occupational health, hygiene, and industrial safety practices
- Manage emergency preparedness and response plans
- Monitor environmental parameters and ensure proper waste management
- Maintain OHSE documentation and reporting, driving continuous improvement
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
- 7–8 years of experience in OHSE roles within manufacturing/industrial environments
- NEBOSH or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of Nepalese EHS laws, labor laws, and regulatory compliance
