Position: Lab Technician
Job Description
Lab technician will performs routine laboratory tests to support the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. This role ensures the validity, accuracy, and timeliness of test results, and adheres to quality, safety, and infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting and preparing samples, solutions, cultures and specimens and ensuring safe disposals of waste.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control and hazardous waste policies and protocols; following identification procedure.
- Recording, analysing and writing reports, reviews and summaries on the findings of experiments and trials.
- Collecting and preparing samples, solutions, cultures and specimens and ensuring safe disposals of waste.
- Enforcing strict health and safety regulations.
- Maintains inter- and intradepartmental work flow by fostering a spirit of cooperation.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Assist in lab activities during camps and clinics.
- Work during day-off and night duty when necessary.
- Any other job as assigned and agreed with the reporting manager.
Requirements
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory
- Minimum 1 Experience, leprosy and related services preferred
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
- Proficiency in calibrating and maintaining technical laboratory equipment
- Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
- Excellent oral and written English and Nepali including documentation skills.
