Transcultural Psychosocial Organization Nepal (TPO Nepal) is one of Nepal’s leading psychosocial organizations established in 2005 to promote psychosocial well-being and mental health of people in conflict-affected and other vulnerable communities through the development of sustainable, culturally-appropriate, and community-based psychosocial support systems.

TPO Nepal is implementing a project named “Mental Health and Psycho-social Support interventions to Individuals, Families and Communities affected by the Flash Flood” funded by Americares Foundation, which aims to improve the mental health, psychosocial well-being, functioning and resilience of individuals, families and communities affected by the flash flood through evidence based MHPSS interventions and strengthened community and health system support.

TPO Nepal seeks competent, committed and result-oriented candidate for the following position:

Job Title : M & E and Documentation Officer

Job station : Nuwakot

Job duration : 9 months with possibility of extension

Number of openings : 1 (one)

Start date : At the earliest

Major responsibilities

The M & E and Documentation Officer will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:

Monitoring and data collection

  • Develop and maintain project monitoring systems, tools, and databases.Track project activities, outputs, indicators, targets, and milestones.Coordinate routine data collection from field teams.Ensure timely reporting of project progress against the workplan and results framework.

Data quality and management

  • Ensure data are accurate, complete, consistent, and collected ethically.Conduct regular data quality assessments and verification.Maintain organized databases and documentation of monitoring data.Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, gaps, and emerging issues.

Evaluation and learning

  • Support baseline, endline, and other evaluations.Document lessons learned, good practices, challenges, and recommendations.Promote the use of evidence to improve program design and implementation.

Results-based management

  • Support development and revision of performance measurement frameworks, and indicators.Track progress against program outcomes and impact-level results.Flag delays, underperformance, and implementation gaps to program management.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare regular M&E reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.Provide evidence and analysis for donor and management reports.Support in preparing activity and program reports.

Capacity building

  • Train and mentor program staff on M&E tools, data collection, and reporting.Provide technical support to field teams on indicator definitions and documentation.

Coordination and accountability

  • Coordinate with program teams to ensure monitoring data align with program implementation.Support beneficiary feedback and accountability mechanisms.Ensure monitoring and evaluation processes incorporate gender, disability, age, inclusion, and other relevant disaggregation.

Qualification, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferable.
  • Minimum one year of experience in M& E, research and/or process documentation, or having sound knowledge of monitoring and evaluation framework (e.g. logical framework, theory of change, etc.).
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken Nepali and English languages.
  • Willingness to work in a multicultural environment.Willingness to stay and travel to remote areas.
  • Having a driving license for a motorbike or scooter will be an advantage.
  • Having adequate knowledge of Child Protection and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI).
  • Attitude for learning new things and enjoying teamwork.
