Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Human Resources Manager role based in Biratnagar. The role involves managing end-to-end HR operations including recruitment, employee development, performance management, and compliance with applicable labor laws. The HR Manager will drive HR policies, handle employee relations, and work closely with business leaders to support organizational goals. This is a hands-on role suited for someone with strong exposure to factory HR operations, contractor manpower management, and statutory compliance in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end HR operations for the assigned unit/location
  • Handle contractual and permanent manpower management, including onboarding, deployment, attendance, and productivity tracking
  • Lead contractor workforce management, ensuring compliance, documentation, billing coordination, and discipline
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable labor laws and statutory requirements, including social security, provident fund, gratuity, insurance, and other regulatory requirements
  • Manage employee relations, discipline, grievance handling, and engagement initiatives
  • Oversee administration-related coordination such as security, housekeeping, transport, and facilities support
  • Drive core HR processes including recruitment, induction, performance management, and leave & attendance systems
  • Coordinate audits, inspections, and liaison with statutory and local authorities
  • Act as the HR point of contact for unit leadership and coordinate closely with regional and corporate HR teams

Desired Profile

  • 6–10+ years of core HR experience, preferably in FMCG or operations-driven environments
  • Strong hands-on exposure to Nepalese labor laws, statutory compliance, and contractor workforce management
  • Proven experience managing large blue-collar or frontline manpower
  • Practical, solution-oriented approach with comfort working at ground level
  • Ability to operate independently and manage HR operations with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of local labor and statutory compliances in Nepal will be a strong advantage
